Bunnings fundraiser a success
A big “thank you” to our wonderful supporters who helped at the recent Bunnings BBQ fundraiser. There were quite a number of volunteers who offered their help on day and the Foundation is very grateful. We’re also thankful to those who, though they couldn’t be present, provided much needed financial support to purchase food and drinks.
With the cost of the supplies almost fully covered from personal donations from members as well as store gift cards, we were able to raise just over $2000. Special mention should be made of the following store donations:
- Coles Corinda – $50
- Coles Fairfield – $40
- Coles Greenslopes – $20
- Coles Mt Gravatt Plaza – $50
- Woolworths Annerley – $50
- Woolworths Buranda – $50
We’re grateful for the opportunity Bunnings gave us to host a BBQ and for the $50 gift card they donated in return for the Foundation providing a volunteer to read to children for an hour.
Everyone’s generosity in giving their time and resources is what made the day a success.
